10 Facts You Need to Know Before Week 4 In Fantasy Football

  1. Through 3 weeks, the only two quarterbacks that rank top-five (positionally) in rushing yards per game AND top-10 in passing yards per game are Josh Allen and … Brock Purdy.
    1. Purdy has scored at least 21 fantasy points in every game he’s played this season.

  2. Through 3 games, no QB has more interceptions than ... Drake Maye.
    1. He has been pressured on 42.5% of his dropbacks.
    2. Is that a lot? That strikes me as a lot.
    3. Through three weeks, Maye is currently QB33 on a points-per-game basis.
    4. There are only 32 NFL teams.

  3. Among QBs who have played at least 8 games since the start of last season, Marcus Mariota ranks 12th in fantasy points per dropback.
    1. This week, assuming he starts (Jayden Daniels actually made the trip to London, so who knows), Mariota will face a Colts team that is allowing 21.9 PPG to opposing QBs.
    2. The Colts are also 30th in pass defense.

  4. In Week 3, Jeremiyah Love saw 26 touches.
    1. That was more touches than he had in Weeks 1 and 2 combined.
    2. He also handled 78% of the team’s rush attempts.
    3. Love’s Utilization Score of 91 ranked 5th among all RBs.

  5. Last week, no running back had a higher snap rate than Jaylen Warren’s 90%.
    1. With Rico Dowdle out, Warren handled 20 of the Steelers 22 RB touches.
    2. As of this writing, Dowdle looks likely to miss Week 4.

  6. After Travis Etienne left the game last week, Alvin Kamara led the Saints backfield with a 50% snap rate.
    1. Kendre Miller was at 30%
    2. CJ Donaldson was at 23%.
    3. Not really a stat, but while I have Kamara ranked the highest in Week 4, he won’t be much more than a low-end PPR flex play, as I expect this will be a three-way committee until Etienne returns.

  7. So far this season, no running back has rushed for more than 47 yards against the Vikings.
    1. In Week 4, the Vikings face the Dolphins.
    2. Ollie Gordon has 90 career rush attempts.
    3. And is averaging 2.7 yards per carry.
    4. The Dolphins are currently 10.5-point underdogs.

  8. In Week 3, Zay Flowers had a 29% snap rate.
    1. He ran just 14 routes.
    2. And yet he was targeted on 43% of those 14 routes.
    3. Flowers finished with a 30% target share.
    4. So far this season, Zay Flowers has scored 41 fantasy points on just 37 offensive snaps.
    5. He is averaging 19.5 yards per target.
    6. Dude.

  9. In his first game back last week, Brock Bowers saw a 43% target share.
    1. His Utilization Score was a perfect 100.
    2. For his career, in games where Bowers sees at least a 25% target share, he's averaged over 20 PPG.

  10. In 13 career games with Michael Penix, Kyle Pitts is averaging a 16% target share.
    1. And just 34 receiving yards per game.
    2. He’s scored double-digit fantasy points only 4 times in those games.
